LAURA LEE GULLEDGE (she/ her/ mermaid) is a visual storyteller and creative explorer. She has authored three YA graphic novels plus an interactive sketchbook. Her latest book The Dark Matter of Mona Starr (2020, Abrams Books) explores dealing with depression, and the new virtual adaption of her graphic novel musical Will & Whit is now available for licensing.
Laura Lee is also a teaching artist (MA Art Ed) with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and Virginia Commission of the Arts. She has proudly Artnered with The Kennedy Center, The Fralin Museum of Art, and The Learning Factory in Zimbabwe. Her books have been nominated for the prestigious Eisner and Harvey Awards as well as YALSA Teen’s Top Ten.
She lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her studio cat Rory where she’s an everyday Artner Love advocate and striving Citizen Artist. She posts new artsy adventures weekly in her blog.
